Participating in a Bridge of Peace Ceremony is an opportunity to experience healing and reconciliation. The participants were from countries like Afghanistan, America, France, Germany, Ghana, Guyana, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines and Tonga.

The Women’s Federation for World Peace is a world-wide organization devoted to bringing world peace through promoting and empowering women.

Melbourne Pasifika Festival | Celebrating Culture, Community & the Pacific

Experience the colour, rhythm, and heart of the Pacific at the Melbourne Pasifika Festival — an annual celebration bringing Pasifika communities and the wider Melbourne community together through culture, music, dance, food, family and friendship.

Hosted by WFWP Australia and organised in partnership with Pasifika community leaders and volunteers, the festival is more than a celebration. Funds raised help support WFWP Australia’s Global Development, Aid & Service projects across the Pacific, creating opportunities for women and families through education, employment and sustainable community development.

Asia Pacific First Ladies Summit – PALAU December 2019

Launch Asia Pacific First Ladies Summit
Theme:
Addressing the Critical Challenges of Our Time – Interdependence, Mutual Prosperity and Universal Values.
Located in Koror, Palau / December 9-12th 2019
The Summit was co-hosted by the First Lady of Palau, Debbi M. Remengesau, UPF (Universal Peace Federation) and WFWPI (Women’s Federation for World Peace International).

Day 1 of the Summit included: an Inaugural Session with First Ladies and former First Ladies addressing key issues; a WFWPI session on the Role of Women Leaders: Solutions and Best Practices; and a Palau session on Preserving the Environment through Cultural Wisdom.

Day 2 of the Summit included: an Interfaith Family Festival, and co-current sessions by the International Youth Assembly with the theme of the Role of Youth in Creating a Culture of Peace and the WFWPI Special Interactive Session on the theme of Women Peace-Leadership Paradigms: Asia-Pacific Partnership Projects.

Fiji Minister of Women shares with WFWP

WFWP Fiji President, Sharila Lazarus, accompanied by Ms Anne Bellavance (WFWP International Vice President, representing Oceania and S.E. Asia, and President of WFWP Australia), paid a courtesy visit to Fiji’s Minister for Women, Honourable Rosy Akbar at her office in Civic Towers, Suva.
Minister Rosy briefly shared with WFWP the situation of women in Fiji and the work of the Ministry to support women and their families.

New Hope Academy Graduation and Awards Assembly in the Solomon Islands

The New Hope Academy P-12 school in Honiara, Solomon Islands began as a kindergarten under the support of WFWP Japan and WFWP Australia. It has grown into a sought after P-12 school with Government accreditation due to its values and character education curriculum and focus. This video shows the 2023 Graduation and Awards Assembly.
